[Workshop] Texture Stamps

Updated on April 19, 2018. This post will be used to compile information on the use of stamps to create texture for bases and terrain pieces. Specifically, I have been using Happy Seppuku texture stamps. Their website have useful advice on how to use their stamps. Right now, this post is just a list of the stamps I have. I will update this post in the future on my experience with using them.

The older stamps made by Happy Seppuku were made of polyurethane (P) with a stamping area of 3" x 5". The current texture stamps from the company are made of rubber. They come in two sizes, 3" x 3" and 6" x 6". The rubber stamps are very flexible compare to the polyurethane ones. They will be very useful for creating texture on uneven surfaces.

1. Old World Flagstone - sample made. (P) randomly patterned flagstone.
2. Old World Castle Stone - sample made. (P) large block look, perfect for castles and stone block walls.
3. Wood Narrow Plank - sample made. Great for pirate ship decks, rampart walk ways or western scenes. It has a subtle grain.
4. Wood Knotty - sample made. (P) old rotting wood planking. Great for pirate ship decks, rampart walk ways or western scene.
5. Earth Snow/ Mud - sample made. Patterned to mimic snow covered ground or the mudflats seen near bodies of water. This is a great place to start for your winter or swamp models.
6. Ground Smooth Lava - sample made. Subtle ground effect, great for cave floors or mountainous areas.
7. Earth Sand/Asphalt - sample made. Patterned to produce the grain like texture found on asphalt streets and sand covered areas.
8. Ground Slate - sample made. (P) great for ancient world looks. Perfect for jungle paths, dried rivers, colosseum floors.
9. Ground Creekbed - sample made. Great for those mountain scenes your minis are in. 
10. Earth Broken Ground - sample made. Cracked and dried earth with sinkholes. Used it in conjunction with the snow field stamp to create great looking water side winter bases.
11. Steel Catwalk Grating - sample made. Creates that feel of being in a cramped ship or on an industrial platform.
12. Steel Starship Grating - creates that feel of being in a cramped ship or on an industrial platform (2 copies, the first one had some defects). 
13. Tile Hex - sample made. Perfect for those looking ot do some kind of clinical floor like a morgue or paint the hexes in some pattern to make the perfect exotic temple floor.
14. Steel Regular Plate - sample made. Great for Sci-fi models, either on a space station or walking across a crashed wreck.
15. Forest Floor - sample made. Simple but a lot of extras including dead branches and leaves on this stamp.
16. Ferns - sample made. For those miniatures lost in any forest or jungle.
17. Jungle Vines - sample made. Stamp of vines, flowering jungle plants, and some carnivorous flora.
18. Bog/Mire - sample made. Blend of smooth watery channels and fuzzy grass topped mounds.
19. Grassland - sample made. Subtle texture has no limitation to where you can use it. Use it on its own or add some spots of grass to other bases.
20. Broken Concrete - sample made. Works great as a secondary stamp, use it before or after you stamp another texture like brick or stone and add instant wear and tear to an otherwise perfect scene.
